On December 31st, 2018, a group of friends decided to walk up to the top of a hill to watch the sunset and write horoscopes for the year ahead. The horoscopes are below, in the form in which they tumbled out of the collective unconscious.

aries - embarking on new adventures, losing your hair

taurus - you will be very hot, both in appearance and temperature, small animals will find you - watch out! look for wombats

gemini - you’ll move to alice springs of your heart and open the bar of your brain

cancer - you will have improved health and improved shoes

leo - you will lose a skill you thought you could rely on but gain 2 better ones

virgo - *fart noises* but also you will find a tall handsome stranger on a boat setting sail for the arctic and they will impart great knowledge at the time which you later find to be specific only to the arctic boat situation, and your secret twin gets murdered

libra - you’ll take on a new case when a sassy dame walks into your office but you’ll lose the case because it was spaghetti and learn an important lesson about objectifying people so hard they become pasta

scorpio - you will find changes in your body temperature and eat a sweet brown substance that gets on your face

sagittarius - you will join a revolutionary movement with a strong cat based aesthetic. Jason will suggest blowing something up

capricorn - You will marry the moon after a long time spent in a cake (orange and poppy seed)

aquarius - the shadow people invade your property and live there

pisces - batman’s butler drag

A while later, finding themselves with a single day free, two of the friends decided to set themselves the challenge of writing, in that one day, 12 songs, each based on one of these horoscopes. Those friends were Chris and Veronica, and these are the songs.
